Chasing After the Heart of God

I am running,
running faster than my own feet can carry me
I am not only running, but I am chasing
Chasing after a love so divine, so pure, so real
that I am almost blinded by its truth
His grace and mercy are painted on the sky above me
and the light that the stars cast over my head is what guides me
I race over the hills he has mapped out for me
and I dance under the shield of His wings, for no dark souls can reach me
I am chasing after the heart of God
running, rushing, galloping down this narrow path he has paved for me
My soul searching, pursuing, burning for a mere moment in His presence
My heart pumping violently, shaking in the brightness of His glory
Fear itself could not have induced such a beat so powerful
For only a heart in pursuit of the Lord could undergo a pressure so eternal
My feet pounding against the soil,
leaving the mark of His word pressed deep into the earth
The steadiness of my own pace frightens me,
for how do I continue without rest?
The hope and faith in His word is what fuels this fire
The hope and faith in His word is what ignites this heart of mine
As I chase after the heart of God,
Let my flame roar at the sound of your name
Let my soul burst in the presence of the Lord
Let my spirit fly at the sight of His face
Keep these feet pointed towards you, do not let them pivot away!
O Jesus, "My heart has heard you say, 'Come and talk with me.'
And my heart responds, 'Lord, I am coming.'"
As I draw near you, dear Lord please draw near to me
I shall endure this path, even to the point of death,
And as I chase after your heart O God,
I only ask of you one thing
O dear Lord, please stay with me

Light of the World

I feel as if all I do is dream of you, Lord.
Your presence, a far away place of hope.
Lord let my dreams become reality.
Let your love, hope, peace and your entire self become my reality.
For your word is the truth and your laws are real.
I will arise dear Lord!
I will arise, but only in your name!
For you are a light in the darkness
I want to shine in your name, but I can only show the world the light
If my whole being is centered around you!
For you are the true light of the world.
Keep my heart fixated upon your glory, Lord
I shall eat your word
Oh Lord, let it sink into the depths of my wretched soul.
I shall arise and follow you.
Let us go hence!
I shall follow you into the true reality,
your word.

Oh Lord, save me from this madhouse
or I am afraid I will fall into its depths
I am afraid I will succumb
to its level of sin and insanity
Jesus Christ, the madhouse brings the worst out of me
The anger and wrath within me erupt
as soon as I am hidden in its shadow
Dear Lord, stay with me here in this lonely heart of mine
and take rest in its walls
Re-build them again
for it seems that each week they fall to the ground
Shine your light on me, for the darkness is overwhelming

Make my paths straight

Stretched between the desires of my heart and the will of God
Each one pulling, reaching, grasping at my soul
The desires of my heart yearn for both God and flesh
Teach me, O Lord, and remove me from myself!
Dwell in me Lord, and let not my own darkness envelop me
For my heart seeks the things of the flesh

The deepest of human desires
Let me not yearn for the love of men,
but for the love of thine heart!

Anger and Jealousy
two brothers of death that corrupt the soul
Let them not overcome me
for their presence draws near

Oh heavenly Father!
Fill me up with the love of the divine King-
your love.
Wipe away my fleshly dreams of earthly love
that torture me so,
My heart desires flesh yet it also seeks you

Dear Lord,
Wash away all of my desires that have no purpose in your name
leave only the desires for your presence

O Spirit,
Lead me to you
Make my paths straight
May you keep my neck forward
and may I only gaze towards you-
The one and only King.

Love Out Loud

Love, in all of its fullness,

is the one thing our hearts desire more than anything else.

Everyone yearns for love

Yet, we see discarded people, God’s creation, being tossed out every day by society.

People who think they have been forgotten or unseen by the world,

people...who are just dying to be heard,

and people who want to be understood.

God's will is for us to reflect Christ- and the essence of his character is love!

Jesus wants us to love others, but the love he wants us to have is more than an emotion. It is an act of will- an intentional choice to put others first.

God's love is so pure that he left his glorious home in Heaven to die alone on the cross.

He did it for love

The Bible says- the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

All of this reflects Christ. When christ is in us, selfishness flees

We all have free will.

We all have a choice to make.

Our choice is to label or love them. Which would you want?

We know Jesus' choice.

Jesus loved.

Actually, Jesus loves.

He loves us so much that he is able to forgive us, he is able to look past our wickedness and love us.

Let's do the same for others.

Let's look past each others faults and see that we are all God’s creation.

Let's love out loud.
